Caiuajara (Moveable Jaw) Delux CollectA
Caiuajara was a type of Pterosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous. The Caiuajara is notable for its huge shark fin-shaped head-crest on its snout that changed shape as the animal matured. Both sexes appear to have had crests, although these may have been differently patterned. they were presumably used during mating rituals as species recognition or to show sexual maturity. The animal lived in a duned desert environment near a lake but it is not known what it ate. The jaws are toothless and it is assumed that it was either a herbivore or ate insects. The largest examples are thought to have had a wingspan of some 2.35 metres.
