Puzzles & Games

There are considerable benefits for young children who play with puzzles including: cognitive skills, problem solving - how to find the right piece of jigsaw. Picking up and placing of pieces promotes fine motor skill & development of hand and eye co-ordination. If you sit and construct the puzzle with your little one you promote social skills by taking turns and when that last piece of puzzle wiggles into place the self esteem and sense of achievement is instantaneous. Try doing a quick jigsaw or game before bed and a story and see if it quickly becomes a loved ritual.
