Hydrotherosaurus means 'water beast lizard' it is a member of the family of Elasmosauridae plesiosaurs from the Late Cretaceous period about 70-65 million years ago. It was found in the Fresno County of California in North America. It measured up to 13 meters in length. Hydrotherosaurus were very efficient swimmers with 4 flippers they could hunt and easily catch their prey of fish and small creatures under water.
