Baryonyx - means "heavy claw" in reference to the very large hooked claw on its first finger. Baryonyx lived during the Cretaceous era and the best known fossil is in the Museum of natural History London. It is an almost complete skeleton that come form Surry in the UK. The Hook Claw was discovered by the amateur fossil hunter William John Walker in 1983, from a site that had been explored for over 200 years.
