Kentrosaurus lived during the Jurassic era and was one of the large herbivores related to Stegosaurus. Feeding on low-level plants Kentrosaurus would have browsed on ferns that were hardly chewed but swallowed in large chunks. Low growing fruits would also have been part of the Kentrosaurus diet. Fifteen pairs of spikes line the spine to the tail where two large spikes would have inflicted damage on attackers when the Kentrosaurus swung its tail around.
