Attenborosaurus was named after David Attenborough and was almost 5 metres long and weighed around 2 tonnes. Found in Dorset England it lived in the early Jurassic period.
Unlike other pliosaurs it had an extremely long neck making it more like a plesiosaur. It also had a small number of massive teeth. Unfortunately the original fossil remains were destroyed during World War 11 and only a plaster cast of the original fossil remains.
